Are you in love with your life? Better yet, are you obsessed with it? If their answer is “no”, you have some work to do to get to a place where the answer is “yes”!
You get one go around at the crazy thing called life so it’s crucial to make your time count starting now.
Don’t get to the end of your life with regrets wishing you would have created a life you loved. How sad.
Check out these simple but powerful tips to help you start loving the life you live TODAY!
1. STOP COMPARING YOURSELF
I like to call this “comparasitis” because it’s like a disease in today’s culture. Comparasitis runs rampant! We all get bad bouts of it at one time or another. It usually takes the form of scrolling social media and applies to comparing yourself to both “regular” people and celebrities.
This does nothing but leave you feeling bad about yourself and takes precious time away from creating a life you love.
As I said, you get ONE go around at this life. Please don’t waste it looking at the lives of others. Go out there and create YOUR version of a dream life and love the life YOU have!
2. DON’T CHASE SHINY OBJECTS
Not all opportunities are the right ones for you no matter how good they seem. When an opportunity presents itself take the time to really think about if it’s the right fit for you.
An opportunity could be the wrong one for you regardless of how good it seems!
Get silent and listen to that voice within. If there’s even a small part of you that thinks it’s not the right move trust that instinct.
You may receive external pressure from friends or family telling you you’d be silly to pass on the opportunity. Trust YOURSELF because it could be that something even better could be coming your way.
3. PUSH YOURSELF A LITTLE MORE THAN YOU THINK YOU CAN
When you think you have nothing left to give push yourself just a little more – even a smidge more is a huge confidence booster.
Examples from my own life are 5 more minutes on the treadmill than I intended and writing one more paragraph when I think I’ve had enough for the day.
When you push yourself in small ways it leads to big results because they add up! Plus, you begin to feel more confident and accomplished leading you to want to do more.
4. STOP “SHOULD-ING” ON YOURSELF
How many times a day do you hear yourself say “I SHOULD (fill in the blank)”. Many of these “shoulds” are simply cultural and societal expectations that we’ve come to think are true about what we “should” be doing with our lives. Rarely are these “shoulds” something you want to do.
“Should-ing” on yourself makes you feel bad and gives you a sense that you don’t have control over your life. Make choices based on what YOU want for yourself and the world becomes your oyster!
5. DO IT EVEN WHEN YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE IT
This is what separates those who love their life from those who don’t. Those who love their lives are living out their version of a dream life. To live the life of your dreams you have to put the work in no matter what.
If you don’t feel like sitting down to write, go for a walk, work on your resume (whatever it is!) DO IT ANYWAY! I can’t stress this enough.
6. IF SOMETHING SCARES YOU DO IT ANYWAY
I’m not talking about tight rope walking between skyscrapers. I’m talking about going after your goals even if you’re scared.
If your goal doesn’t scare you a little bit then it’s not big enough!
If you want to live a life you love you need to put yourself out there and do scary things!
7. ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST
Your best will fluctuate depending on the circumstances but whatever the circumstance may be, you need to do your best if you want to live a life you love.
I’ll give you an example – I’m a runner. I run nearly every day but the other day I didn’t feel well. Rather than completely skip my workout (I wasn’t so sick that I had to lay in bed) I took a low- key walk. I did my best given the circumstance.
You can’t live a life you love doing things half a**!
8. MOVE YOUR BODY
I can’t stress this enough! There’s no way around this one.
Unless you have a medical condition that prevents you from doing physical activity you need to do it.
If you want to kick butt at your goals and live a life you love, you need to feel good and have lots of energy. Get those endorphins flowing!
Physical activity has too many benefits to list right now but at the top of that list is that it improves mood, your energy level, and clears brain fog. When you feel mentally good, you’re more likely to go after your goals!
9. BE KIND
Whatever you put out in the universe comes back to you. It’s a universal rule and how the law of attraction works!
If you want to live a life you love you need to make others feel good and send out good vibes.
10. BE YOURSELF
This might be the most important tip of all!
There is nobody like you on this entire planet and there never will be. How incredible is that?!
You have all the gifts inside of you to achieve whatever it is you want and it’s your responsibility to share your talent with the world. The world needs what you have!
Those who love their life feel comfortable in their own skin and use their unique talents to create the life they want.
