Are you a woman struggling with low self-esteem or lacking confidence in yourself to create the life you want? If the answer is yes, then it’s time to start taking the steps needed to have the life you desire.
A big part of creating a life you love is letting go of limiting beliefs and instead, adopt empowering ones that push your life forward. A powerful way to change thought patterns is by using affirmations.
If you’re not currently struggling you will still find the following affirmations beneficial. They are helpful for any woman because they challenge common limiting beliefs experienced by most (if not all) women at one time or another.
If you’re not familiar with affirmations, they are positive statements you repeat to yourself in your head or out loud. They help you eliminate negative, self-sabotaging thought patterns and replace them with more empowering ones. They can be easily incorporated in your day and with repetition make a BIG impact.
I find that the easiest way to consistently use affirmations is to set reminders on my phone using a journal app (iMoodJournal). There are lots of apps to choose from so if using an app sounds like your thing, find one that you like.
Another simple way to practice affirmations is by placing sticky notes in various places, such as on your bathroom mirror. Others find it helpful to write affirmations. Do whatever is helpful for you to be consistent because consistency is the key!
I created the following affirmations because I felt that I needed a little boss lady boost in my life. If truth be told, I’m currently struggling with my confidence. So, these are affirmations I’m using for myself but I’m sharing them with you because I think you’ll find them helpful too!
The following are 12 affirmations EVERY woman can benefit from! Here we go…
1. I deserve to be paid for my talent, abilities, and knowledge
It’s a well-known fact that on average women get paid less than men for doing the same work. You are worthy and deserve to be compensated for the skills you bring to the table! Don’t accept less than you are worth.
Use this affirmation to attract the job and abundance you deserve!
2. I am worthy of self-care
It’s common for women to spread themselves thin and put others first. You might even think its self-fish to practice self-care. Self-care is the least self-fish thing you can do.
When you take the time to fill your cup you have the mental and physical energy to meet your daily demands with ease.
YOU MATTER and showing yourself love is a beautiful and NECESSARY thing!
3. It is safe for me to be assertive
It’s common for women to worry about being assertive. They don’t want to come off as a b****, aggressive, rude, abrasive, being masculine (the list goes on). Unfortunately, there is a double standard, and men are praised for being forthright.
Hold your head high, speak your mind, and be unapologetic about it!
4. I have the power to create a life I love
You have the power to make choices every day that move you closer to your goals. No choice is too small. All the little choices add up and move you in the direction of the life you want.
This affirmation also speaks to your abilities. You are powerful beyond measure and absolutely have what it takes to create a life you love.
When self-doubt starts to creep in use this affirmation as a reminder to get you back on track.
5. I am enough
This is an affirmation that’s become quite popular these days but for good reason!
You are whole and complete just as you are! Knowing you are enough is honoring yourself and where you are on your journey. It’s not about achievement, what you have, or other’s opinions of you. It’s about self-love and loving all of yourself.
Say this affirmation and leave out the “buts”, “ifs”, and “whens”. You are enough RIGHT NOW as you are!
6. I love and accept my body as it is right now
This affirmation isn’t about settling, disregarding fitness goals, and throwing your healthy diet out the window. Rather, it’s about loving your body and having a healthy relationship with it.
I’ve struggled with my body image after the birth of my son. I had a c-section and have the scar and c-section shelf to prove it! It’s helpful for me to remind myself that my body did an incredible thing!
Think about all your body has done for you over the years. Those legs you criticize have supported you in walking and the arms you think are fat have allowed you to love another with a hug.
Your body has done MANY wonderful things for you and deserves some appreciation. It’s beautiful.
You might not have achieved your fitness or health goals YET but you can still love your body along the way.
7. My time is valuable and I protect it
Women tend to wear a lot of hats and as a result, spread themselves thin. We’re mothers, coworkers, friends, daughters, partners, etc. There is pressure to do all the things and do them well.
Your time on this earth is finite so it’s crucial to spend it responsibly!
Use this affirmation as a reminder that it’s ok to protect your time by saying “no” to requests. Time is one of the most precious resources you have so spend it with people you love, doing work you love, visiting cool places, and taking care of your mind, body, and soul.
When you say “no” it frees up time to say “yes” to the things that matter most to you!
8. I am confident and smart
This is one of my favorite affirmations. I use it often because this an area I beat myself up over. Despite having zero evidence that I’m not smart and competent there are times I doubt my capabilities. One of my negative thought patterns is doubting that I have what it takes to achieve my goals.
Do you have confidence in your abilities to create a life you love? If not, this is a helpful affirmation to boost your confidence and remind yourself that you absolutely have what it takes to crush your goals.
9. I can handle whatever comes my way
You can and will be able to handle whatever curveball is thrown at you. Life is full of unexpected (not always good) events. However, this is a good thing because adversity makes us stronger, more resilient, and gives us opportunities for growth.
Sometimes it can feel like there is no way out of a hard situation, but you absolutely have what it takes to come out the other side!
10. My past doesn’t define me
This is a big one because it’s easy to get stuck in the past and feel bad about ourselves. Women are especially prone to dwelling in the past and feeling guilty about it.
Making mistakes is part of being human! Use situations in your past as valuable learning lessons to catapult you forward. You have the power to be the best version of yourself this very moment. So leave the past where it belongs – in the past!
11. It is safe for me to earn a s*** ton of money
There are a LOT of issues surrounding money for women.
Some of them include; not having the confidence to support yourself, having limited knowledge about finances, gender stereotypes, feelings of guilt for making good money, and/or feeling uncomfortable making more money than friends or partners.
Do any of these resonate with you?
A big limiting belief I’m struggling with is that I don’t have what it takes to earn a lot of money. What a garbage thought, right?!
Use this affirmation to shift any negative thoughts you have that are keeping you from the financial abundance you deserve.
12. Being happy is a choice and I choose happiness
I love this affirmation because it’s easy to focus on the negative, which leaves us feeling down. I’m guilty of throwing myself a good pity party that NOBODY wants to attend. Does this resonate with you?
Not choosing happiness doesn’t make sense. You are in control of your thoughts so choose ones that uplift you.
The easiest way to boost your mood and feel happy is to practice gratitude. There is always something to feel thankful and happy for!

I love ALL of these! Seriously, they’re so applicable! I love the ones about money, as I’m a personal trainer trying to grow my own business, and I’m trying really hard to remember to charge what I’m worth -rather than undercut myself. I want to put some of these on my vision board!
I’m so happy to hear you find them helpful! Charge for what you are worth! You will attract clients who WILL find a way to pay! It can be hard to ask for more money but I hope the affirmation gives you the confidence you need to ask for what you’re worth x
