4 Ways to Set Powerful Goals and Reach Them!

by | Sep 28, 2019

Do you have big goals you want to reach but have struggled to follow through? We all do it – there’s a huge moment of inspiration and we set a big goal for ourselves.

Action is taken for a week or so and then our motivation dwindles. We are then left feeling bad ourselves and demotivated.

Stop beating yourself up! It’s never too late to get back on the horse! Dust yourself off and get back on track.

You deserve to have, be, and do whatever you want. It starts with a commitment to your goals. You’re worth the effort it takes so stop playing small!

4 Best Tips to Crush Your Biggest Goals

Check out these 4 tips guaranteed to help you get out of your own way and start crushing your goals…

1. CREATE A VISION BOARD AND/OR USE VISUALIZATION

Visualization is an extremely powerful tool for getting the results you want.

Athletes are a prime example of the power of visualization.

It is common for athletes to use sports psychologists to help them improve their performance through visualization.

The athletes are taught to visualize themselves executing that perfect shot, scoring that goal, etc. It works to help them feel more confident and calm when in a real game.

The brain says “oh, we’ve done this before”!

This doesn’t just work for athletes! It works for anyone wanting to accomplish anything!

Become clear about what you want and visualize it down to the smallest details. This will send a powerful message to your subconscious that will help you confidently go after your goals.

It will also tell the universe what it is you want and set the law of attraction into motion!

If the universe isn’t clear about what you want it can’t help you. It’s like to you going into a restaurant and not giving the server a clear order. How can they give you what you want if you give them some vague order?!

If you choose to practice visualization there are some great FREE guided meditations on YouTube.

Another mighty tool is creating a vision board. This isn’t just some airy fairy art project!

Choose images the represent your goals and that inspire you. Look at it every day! It’s especially helpful to look at it first thing in the morning before you go out into the world. This will help your conscious and subconscious mind attract what you want.

I have my vision board hanging on the wall directly in front of my bed so when I wake in the morning and go to bed at night it’s the first and last thing I see.

2. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GREATNESS

You know that saying, “if you’re the smartest one in the room you’re in the wrong room”? Well, its true.

Check your ego and go get some friends who are smarter than yourself. I can’t stress this enough!

You must be around people who can teach you something and challenge you to improve!

You will not reach your biggest goals if you continue to hang around people who don’t challenge you.

How will you know you are hanging around a group of winners? They have big goals for themselves. This in turn, challenges you to be better and go after your goals!

You only get one go around at life so make it count!

Surround yourself with those who milk life for all it has to offer by dreaming big and crushing their goals!

3. JUST DO IT

The heading says it all. Just do it. Seriously – just do it.

Daily steps toward your goal will lead to big results over time. The steps don’t even need to be big! Just do something, anything right now (well, after you finish reading this post of course!)

Take some action even when you don’t feel like it. That’s what separates winners from people who are ok living basic lives.

Don’t be basic – that’s cheating yourself out of having a life that excites you!

People who achieve their goals take consistent action even when they don’t feel like it!

Is it entirely new career path you desire? Reach out to someone in the field and ask them some questions. Update your resume. Google your heart out until you find out everything you can about it. Visualize yourself doing it. Do something!

4. STOP MAKING EXCUSES

Want to know my pet peeve? What really gets under my skin? People who say they can’t do xyz because they don’t know how to do it!

If you’re guilty of this, stop! Right now. As Marie Forleo so perfectly says, “everything is figuroutable”! Seriously, EVERYTHING!

In today’s day and age there is absolutely zero excuse for not being able to achieve a goal because you don’t know how. Every step it takes to achieve your goal can be figured out and done!

There are even YouTube videos on how to tie a shoe. Seriously.

Also, if you haven’t heard of a little search engine called Google, that’s a great resource too! (I hope your ok with a little sarcasm!).

What I’m saying is that there is ZERO excuse! Stop getting in your own way with all the excuses!

Another terrific way to figure out how to achieve your goal is doing some research on those who have already achieved it. Learn about the steps they took to make their goal a reality. You can also learn about the mistakes they made along the way so you can avoid them. How great is that?!

The bottom line is that excuses stop you from achieving goals and living the life you want. You’re cheating yourself out of living your dream life when you make excuses.

You and only you are responsible for your life!

Make that your mantra!

Alright, folks. There you have it. The best 4 tips to help you reach your biggest, wildest goals! Choose one to start. Just do it!
